K. Hazel Kwon is a Professor of Digital Audiences and Founder / Lead Researcher at the MIDaS Lab at Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. She also serves as Research Director for the School. Her research focuses on social/digital media and society, with a particular emphasis on the ways in which networked publics make sense of news events (such as the gun control movement) and how the problem of information disorder redefines the process of informing the public.
